Alps practitioner services

  • Training - Formal Classroom style training is supported by interactive tutorials which can be viewed online or downloaded.
  • Support – Email and telephone support is offered during business hours by the help desk. Our client portal is available 24x7 and provides a single point of reference for practitioner queries, fault tracking, software updates and fixes, release notes and user guides, online tutorials and presentations, data exchange, white papers and articles, project documentation and new innovations.
  • Knowledge Development – We use Web-conferencing to keep our clients informed of new innovations and routinely help develop practitioner knowledge of the ALPS portfolio management and underlying modelling techniques
  • Industry Data Management – We have the expertise to source, collate and stream industry data into practitioner systems using Microsoft Data Transformation Services.
Alps remote services

A client has associated costs when procuring and using ALPS, namely the cost of hardware, Mircosoft licensing and internal IT staffing. These costs are duplicated where local test environments are in place. Russell recognises that this combined cost can be sizable where the frequency of release is high in a given year. ALPS Remote streamlines the procurement and ongoing support process by delivering software as service from a secure and class-leading data centre in Amsterdam, Holland. The client’s capital expenditure requirement is removed and replaced with a simpler annual cost.

ALPS Remote can be accessed by a number of users from an organisation that is licensed to use the service, either from a networked desktop or wifi-enabled laptop. Once connection via remote desktop is established to the data centre, a user can operate the ALPS test or production environments, including remote printing and exchanging data from and to their local desktops. ALPS Remote can be licensed in whole, in part or on demand by analysis.
